Jen Manning

Jen is mostly a self-taught artist, predominantly working in acrylics and covering a diverse range of subjects. Primarily focused on realism, her work captures the detail and accuracy of a subject, with a distortion toward the contemporary and abstraction.
Initially completing a BSc degree in Psychology Jen had very different aspirations for the future, but found her way back to creativity following multiple surgeries for debilitating endometriosis. Jen welcomes the chance to one day use art to advocate for fellow 'sisters'. A passion for animals, people and all things nature (especially her two house bunnies!) were to lead her into a whole new creative space.
Jen has been painting private commissions since the early 2000s but really started to focus on a career in art from 2013. Whilst art for her often mirrors realism, it largely depicts an escape from reality using fresh and vibrant colours to create an unsullied visual experience. Jen has so far completed three successful solo shows in her native Warwickshire.
